Returning for his fourth NZV8s season in a brand new Ford, North Auckland driver Haydn Mackenzie was very close to achieving his goal of a top 15 finish last year. He came home 17th overall, demonstrating some fine skills in an action-packed season. Mackenzie secured four top ten finishes and will undoubtedly be looking for more of the same this season. One of the youngest drivers in the field, Haydn Mackenzie turns 23 just after the season starts. His racing background includes one-make Nissans and a well-earned SuperGT championship title when he was only 20 in a powerful Walkinshaw Holden.
